Modern construction materials play a big role in the reduction of the harmful substances emission into the atmosphere, as they provide for a rational usage of heat transfer agents, the manufacturing of which exercises a hazardous impact on the planets ecology. As known, polyurethane foam PUR and fire-proof polyisocyanurate PIR today are superior to the other structural heat insulating materials as their energy-efficiency. The heat conduction coefficient of these materials is 0,02 W/m*K.

The IX International scientific practical conference, dedicated to the issues of production and consumption of ozone-friendly freons and their substitutes in Russia, examined the problems of energy saving and of of the atmospheres ozone stratum protection. The conference was attended by the Head of the Russian Chemists Union, leading chemistry sphere scientists, academicians and doctors of science. The main discussion was concentrated on the adoption of the Montreal and Kyoto protocols by the Russian Federation. ProfHolod company, using polyurethane foam and polyisocyanurate as the heat insulators in the manufacturing of sandwich panels, was invited to the conference.

ProfHolod's delegate expressed the company's interest in making the concrete steps towards the promotion of the idea of energy efficiency and energy saving, and made the statement on the fact that today in the Russian Federation , there are too obsolete energy-efficiency requirements for buildings. Despite the adoption of the Kyoto protocol, the heat insulators, used in the middle of the last century in the USSR, are still widespread in the Russian Federation. In order to provide an efficient dialogue with the legislative and executive authorities on this issue as well as on the others, the National Association of polyurethane foam panel manufacturers (NAPPAN) was established. All the players of the energy efficient sandwich panels market actively join the association now.

ProfHolod's representative also confirmed in his speech the compliance of the companys production activity with all the environmental regulations, including those in effect after the adoption of the Montreal protocol. Today the company uses the ozone-friendly Freon in the sandwich panel manufacturing, meanwhile the new equipment using pentane is being assembled now at the new plant.ProfHolod built the new plant in the town of Shelkovo, at 20-kilometer distance from Moscow, in the walking range from the already operating plants, producing sandwich panels, refrigeration doors and shaped profiles. The installation of the most modern in Russia continuous line by PuMa (Italy) is in progress now at the plant. The line will produce structural wall and roofing sandwich panels.
