German H&S Anlagentechnik will supply the most modern in Russia polyester synthesis reactor to ProfHolod

ProfHolod has completed the tender for supply of a polyester synthesis reactor. The most modern in Russia installation will be supplied by the German company H&S Anlagentechnik, which equipment is used by system houses all over the world. Two more German companies have taken part in the tender.

Investment volume is EUR 5 million, the project start is scheduled for the end of 2019.

The H&S Anlagentechnik mixer installed at our line in 2015 provides a first-class European level mixing. It is important that qualitative mixing under high pressure in the filling head contributes to stable nucleation at foam formation.”

“We have attained better spreadability of the system, selected the optimal mode of the cell-in-foam orientation. Due to the process stabilization and better filling of profiles, we have improved the strength properties of sandwich panels produced using the PIR Premier system,” commented Semen Gusev, leading process engineer.

In 2015 ProfHolod added H&S Anlagentechnik equipment for mixing chemical components to the Italian continuous line Pu.Ma installed at the production site.

The best samples of components from the world suppliers are selected at the company's Research and Development Center. The selection criteria are high physical and mechanical properties of the foam, better spreadability, and low thermal conductivity. Before launching into production, new raw materials are tested at the Center: the raw materials parameters are checked and, if necessary, the process mode is adjusted.

Continuous monitoring and line statistics processing allowed ProfHolod to optimize the chemical system formulation to exactly match the line, determine optimal process conditions for all sandwich panel thicknesses range. As a result, sandwich panels made with the PIR Premier system demonstrate resistance of more than 185 kPa in compression strength tests at 10% strain and more than 160 kPa in rupture strength tests at a density of 40 kg/m3 in accordance with the European standard EN14509.
