Import substitution synthesis: ProfHolod will invest EUR 5 million in the most advanced polyester synthesis reactor in Russia

ProfHolod is planning to improve its customized PIR Premier system, expand production, and become less dependent on raw materials imports by installing the most advanced reactor for polyester synthesis in Russia.

The project investment cost is 5 million euros, the reactor is to be started in the end of 2019. The reactor is essential for the production of polyester, the main component of PIR, which is used in the customized PIR Premier system of ProfHolod.

Sergey Tokmakov, Director General of ProfHolod: 14 years ago we commenced the manufacturing PUR sandwich panels, and now, having accumulated the best world practices, we are using the customized PIR Premier system to manufacture insulated panels with improved physical and mechanical properties and thermal conductivity of 0.022 W/mK.
